The New York Times's Ezra Klein interviewed Zeynep Tufekci about Omicron, vaccination, and public policy responses to Covid. They dug into the question of policy failures and missed opportunities in responding to the pandemic:
So there’s a world in which we could have just gotten it all together and probably vaccinated everybody in the world by mid-2021 with at least one or two doses, with boosters underway, starting with the most vulnerable. And then we would not be talking about any of this. So that was step number one. We didn’t do it.
